Get ready to set sail on the East River this Friday night with the Cosmic Coronas and Eugene Tyler Band. The New York based Cosmic Coronas deliver a fantastic mix of rock, funk, and jam lead by Alexa Lindberg’s powerful lead vocals that are sure to get you out of your seat. Eugene Tyler band are an acoustic Americana duo from New York. Their classic songwriting and twang country guitar will make you an instant fan. The Jewel will begin boarding at 7:00pm and will depart from Skyport Marina – East 23rd Street & FDR Drive (EAST side) at 8:00pm sharp so don’t be late.

If you’d prefer to stay on dry land Friday night, head on over to Irving Plaza for Twiddle. The jam-rock quartet from Vermont are headlining the Phish after party and are sure to impress. Veterans of the jam scene, touring for over a decade, Twiddle have really started to breakthrough to the next level and this show will undoubtedly deliver.

Led by singer-songwriter Keith Zarriello, The Shivers recorded their very first record in Brooklyn back in 2001 and now they return for a night of grooving at Rough Trade NYC. Since the release of that first record, The Shivers have amassed quite the loyal following including celebrity endorsements from Aaron Paul, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rose McIver among others. After the show, be sure to come by the FREE afterparty down the road at Zablozki’s from 11:00pm-3:00am. The show is 21+ though, so make sure you have your I.D. handy.

If you’re on the Lower East Side and don’t feel like making the trip to Brooklyn, fear not! There is a terrific triple-header over at Mercury Lounge Saturday night. Swimm are a Los Angeles rock-duo who is sure to put on a great show. You might want to wear your dancing shoes for this one because Swimm’s driving rhythms and melodic guitars will have you moving the whole night. Get there early to make sure you don’t miss Zuli’s energetic opening set where you’ll have trouble standing still listening to his incredibly catchy, upbeat sound. These three are sure to put on a fun show this Saturday.

It’s been twenty years since these ska-core legends released their hit record Let’s Face It, and now they’re hitting the road once again in celebration of the album’s twenty year anniversary. Put on your best plaid suit and get ready to skank, mosh, and move! In case you can’t make it out to Long Island, the Bosstones will be playing Webster Hall next Tuesday, July 25th. They don’t come to the east coast often, so you make sure you get to at least one of these New York shows.
