For nearly three years Boston based blues-soul singer, Julie Rhodes has been working alongside co-composer and guitarist Daniel Roaman to create a modern take on classic soul and groove blues music. Songs like “In Your Garden” and “Holes” have established Julie as a force to reckon with. A deep growling voice that releases grenade like shrapnel of her soul with every howl are accompanied by mature, tasteful guitar licks which make the duo a truly relevant blues project.
Today they present their rendition of the classic Etta James track “I’d Rather Go Blind”. This song was recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks, and is accompanied by the moody side swiping one take music video above. And if the announcement of this music video isn’t exciting enough, Julie is also heading on her first European Tour.
