Just a few nights ago the Play Too Much family teamed up with the folks at Hifi Records & Cafe, DoNYC, and SingleCut Beer to throw an intimate party at the brand new record shop. The air was crisp, the room was cozy, and the artists were on fire. A robust room of strangers became a casual room of friends as the night went on
Kicking the night off was a stellar performance from Neutral Tones. The Queens based singer songwriter showed off his vocal range and whimsical charm.
Following Neutral Tones, was Baby Mollusk. An artist who delivers unrefined conviction and passion with every note as if it were her last. It’s safe to say that her performance immediately won everyone over.
Closing out the night was a special performance from Decora, an MC with a poetic approach to political issues stemming from systemic inequality to hydro-fracking.
It’s no surprise that Queens is quickly becoming the go-to spot for rad, live performances, so keep an eye out for more events from Hifi Records & Cafe and our upcoming session videos from this event. And if you’re looking for a fun way to spend your weekend then check out the very amazing We Heart LIC Flea which is offering up free booze with entrance, and a performance by The Gantry and Evening Darling.
