By: Play Too Much
Inspired by Paul Payabyab-Cruz’s request to see what people are actually buying, we surveyed the Play Too Much team to see what they’re actually buying these days. Here’s the list we’ve come up with.
If you’re looking for a little more charm and understanding as to why we buy music check out N. David Pastor’s brilliant article linked here. Without further adieu we present our ironic digital streaming playlist of music we actually bought, but more importantly we encourage YOU to go out and buy your favorite music!
Melanie: I recently bought these on vinyl.
Carlos: The last album I bought physically was To Pimp A Butterfly. The last two things I bought off iTunes were, “White Men Are Black Men, Too” by Young Fathers and this new album by TheeSatisfication.
Paul: Lady Lamb’s After, This is the most honest, raw, and emotionally dense record I’ve heard in a long while. Also, Indigo La End’s Nagisa Nite. Indigo la end is a Pop Rock band from Japan. I found their music through a string of Youtube recommended videos after Chris sent me another Japanese band to listen to. I immediately emotionally connected to their music regardless of my inability to understand Japanese.
