Lingering in an Overthought: The 25th Hr Releases “Tuxedo”

by Chris Pizzolo

Canadian r&b artist The 25th Hr returns with his latest offering “Tuxedo”.  Like a fusion of good Kanye and  SBTRKT, 25th Hr’s recent arrival to Brooklyn based label, Color Station, is an added bonus to an already stellar catalogue of moody electronic music. Percussive ghost hits, sexy vocal stabs, and flashy LFO filter twitches are simply a few of the extraordinary mechanics on this groovy track. Like a classy farewell to an unrepentant relationship, “Tuxedo” plays on the classic theme of moving on from heartbreak.

“It’s a song of over-reflection, when relationships end and you’re in a period of overthought. It plays on the simple cliche that you never know what you have until its gone.” – The 25th Hr
