Pleasant Valley, New York is home to such iconic residents as Irene McGee, former member of The Real World: Seattle, and Thomas Flagler, former US Congressman. Typically, the conversation would just about end there. However, there’s a band by the name of TV Champs that’s making some noise in the county of Dutchess. With a sound reminiscent of Manchester Orchestra and call me crazy, but a really, really heavy version of Neil Young; the band, which consists of Paris Dama, Ramy Dahdal, Frank McNenney, and Rob Chasse are making some great music.
These guys show signs of serious promise; probably because they are from a town in Upstate New York where the hardcore scene is more prominent, which puts them somewhere beneath that radar. And not only are they a little different, their songs also inspire a special feeling of optimistic rebirth. So if you’re in the region and want to see these guys rock out, visit their website or their bandcamp page for more information. Links below:
P.S. We hear there’s a full-length album on the way. Check back soon for some exclusives!
