Play Too Much: Tell me a little bit about the song; writing process, inspiration, etc?
Connie Constance: What ever I’m feeling about life, people, circumstances; I write down in poetry then later turn it into a song. I use piano to develop a song outside of the studio.
PTM: Why did you choose this song to make a video for?
CC: The imagery was so clear in my mind. And I love making videos, so any chance I’ll get to make one I will.
PTM: Where was this video filmed?
CC: It was filmed inside an abandoned hotel in Lancaster Gate. The day was excited for me, I didn’t realize the production was going to be as big as it was. We had a huge team and the vibe on the day was really calm and motivated.
PTM: How did you come up with the video concept?
CC: I’ve always been in love with the idea of one human washing another. I think this theme will continue in places throughout my career. I think it’s such a loving and intimate action, which if used more, could possibly bring us closer as people. When I listened to this song over and over I could imagine two people inhabiting a place of there own maybe a shack, tree house, or some sort of abandoned building. I could vision them building a home for themselves outside of society, where washing each other is just a simple part of their daily routine. Nothing out of the ordinary for them.
PTM: That’s beautiful. Who do you want to shout out for helping make this video possible?
CC: Ali is an absolute diamond. She took my idea and ran with it, making it larger than I’d have ever imagined. So big shout out to her and Connie Meade for bringing us together.
