Multitalented pop singer Ally Barron has just release her latest relatable single, “T-shirt” — reflecting on exactly how it feels to be left wondering and overthinking about that one guy who is stuck in the back of your mind. With the releases of her new single, “T-Shirt,” Ally has given millions of other girls around the world something to listen to when they are stuck in their thoughts. The pop artist has managed to gather 20 million streams and 4 million Youtube views throughout her musical career. The good thing is, we don’t see any end soon in sight. Not only is Ally a gifted singer, but she has also had experience in the acting world. Her senior year of high school, Ally landed a lead role in AwesomenessTV show Malibu Surf. Being in the TV show opened opportunity for Ally to record a couple of tracks, one of them being the 2017 track called, “Just Friends.” The song ended up being a major success and getting a whopping total of 13.1 Spotify streams. The singer also starred in another TV series which was a spinoff of Malibu Surf called City Girls. In 2019, Ally released her debut single called, “D M T,” which was her first solo piece of work helping her get her start in making her own music and gaining traction. Unfortunately with the occurrence of the global pandemic, City Girls was cancelled allowing Ally to focus more on her musical career and passion.

“T-Shirt,” is a special track for the reason that it can speak for so many girls out there. The smooth pop song has a dreamy and echoey sound to it as well as Ally’s vocals. She has a very effortless and beautiful style of singing. In the song, Ally sings about a guy who left his T-Shirt in her bedroom and has been telling her that he needs to come get it soon, but is in no rush to do so. She sings, “You play the nice guy pretty nicely./ Thought that your intentions were to like me,” perfectly describing a player. Hearing her sing the song and say just how she feels is so relatable for females. There are so many things similar to a forgotten T-Shirt that can keep us hung up on thoughts and what ifs. Text messages, rumors, social media. There’s all of these things that can keep girls wondering. Ally sings, “You, you left your T-Shirt in my room/ And I, you know I know just what you do./ Yeah, So You keep me thinkin bout you/ Say you’ll pick it up to come through.” It’s clear in what she sings that she knows this guy is reluctant to actually come see her and get his T-Shirt.

Millions of females face the common struggles of being played by guys who just aren’t mature enough yet to treat women the right way. So many girls are left with sleepless nights of overthinking every little last detail and what they could’ve done differently. Ally really opens up about these commons feelings in her single. It’s nice because other girls can now know that they are not alone. Speaking on her song Ally stated, “We’re all growing up and going through these issues of boys, being your own woman, and different stages of life. I want to be there for those girls, if they need someone to talk to.” And that is exactly what the talented pop singer did. She has shown up with music for all girls to listen and relate with.
