Platinum certified songwriter, Andreas Moe, shares a brand-new single with us today. “Hey Lulu” is an acoustic three-and-a-half-minute track written to appreciative your loyal friends.
“Hey Lulu” opens with an acoustic guitar that sets the beat and introduces Andreas Moe’s relaxing vocals. With a harmonized chorus to expand the soundscape Moe sings, “Hey Lulu, everybody loves you now. Hey Lulu, don’t you let it get you down,” before gently shifting back to the verse. Quiet percussive elements, a plucked string melody and mellow keys lift the spirits of the track. But who is Lulu?
“‘Hey Lulu’ is a song about the best kind of friendship. Regardless of the circumstances, distance, of time, you will always be there for them – no matter what. You will always do your best to listen without judgement, to encourage and show them that they are loved and appreciated in a permanent way. This friendship in the song is with a girl called Lulu… I think we all have at least one Lulu in our life who we feel deserves more and can achieve more with the right kind of love and support,.” says Moe. In times of social separation, it’s important to still take the time to remind our friends we appreciate and love them.
