17-year-old singer-songwriter AUSTN released an emotional single called “Phases” via 10K Projects. The delightful and profound new track focuses on the knockout vocal presence he has brought to his music before, such as his track “In Betweenin’” – his 2019 single that garnered him nearly 50 million streams on Spotify. 

“Phases” by AUSTN is the first release off of his forthcoming second EP which is due out later this year. The song is a real-time mirror image of the ever-changing phases of love. With its poignant guitar work and its underrated pop sound, the song is flawlessly showcasing AUSTN’s remarkable vocal range and his heart-on-sleeve songwriting technique. The infectious pop song will most definitely put his young fanbase in their feels with the lyrics “We go through phases / I don’t know what to do / Some days we’re breaking / Some days we’re bulletproof / We keep on changing / But one thing’s always true, I’ll Never give up, never give up on you.” 

Hailing from rural Oregon, AUSTN started building his vocal skills from a young age. He struggled with hearing for the first four years of his life, and this natural vocal talent of his is some kind of a miracle. After he got surgery to fix his closed ear canals, he kept up with singing – eventually learning to play the ukulele and posting his improvised performances to Instagram. Continuing to build up a following, AUSTN relocated to LA and fully devoted his time to music, quickly finding management and releasing his debut EP Chapter 1: In Betweenin’ in May of 2019. Along with garnering more fans, the EP’s irresistible title track found itself on many playlists across platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music – where he was featured on Amazon Music’s 2019 Artists To Watch Playlist.
