GRAMMY-nominated funk-jazz-soul-hip-hop-psychedelic-jam-experimental band Lettuce has released “House of Lett,” the latest single off their forthcoming, seventh studio album Resonate, out May 8th via Round Hill Records. The groovy dance track was first premiered on UK’s Jazz FM. Resonate will follow the band’s 2019 album Elevate, which earned the band their first collective GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, and it garnered more than 3 million streams, topping Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Albums Chart and iTunes’ Top R&B Albums Chart.

Some of us like to freak out with our beaks out, take off our shoes, and get lost in the music until we enter another dimension,” shares bassist Erick “Jesus” Coomes. “So, we did this song in honor of all the ravers, dancers, DJs, partygoing sandy-feet-dancing desert dwellers, house loving people of all ethnicities, walks of life and ages…and mainly, mainly, mainly for the LOVE. Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect.”

The disco-inspired, groovy single “House Of Lett” by Lettuce encourages listeners to hit the dance floor. Lettuce wasted no time in getting right to the hip-swinging rhythm that runs along with a sleek bass funk. The track is also driven with a revolutionary notation that blasts from the keyboard, while the horns glide to and fro with the delay-filled horn lines.

Resonate is a genre-defying album that Lettuce continues to produce. The band celebrates boundary-pushing developers in a funk after nearly 30 years into their praised career, blurring the lines and killing it with jazz chords, kaleidoscopic passages, big horns, strains of soul and go-go, hip-hop components, and a cheerful, motivational sound of their own. Resonate results from a rush of creativity after not being in the studio for four years. The album was piloted by esteemed producer and engineer Russ Elevado [D’Angelo, The Roots, Erykah Badu] and written and recorded during the same Colorado Sound Studio sessions for Elevate.

A dynamic group made up of high-quality master musicians, the members of Lettuce are some of the most desired musicians in the industry working and performing with highly established artists and bands such as Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Questlove, Justin Timberlake, The Fugees, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Britney Spears, Gary Clark Jr., Skrillex, Solange, and many more.
