Southern California quartet, Movements, have released the final single, “Tunnel Vision”, off their forthcoming album, No Good Left To Give via Fearless Records. The record’s third single joins previously released tracks “Don’t Give Up Your Ghost” and “Skin to Skin” ahead of its September 18th debut. No Good Left To Give is this growing band’s long await sophomore release after their 2017 full length debut with, Feel Something.
Speaking on the intense themes presented in the new single, Frontman Patrick Miranda shares, “”‘Tunnel Vision’ is one of the darkest tracks I’ve ever written. It’s about grappling with the reality of suicide, and finding yourself fantasizing about your own funeral.”
With many of their fans being vocal about their own struggles in mental health being exacerbated by the world’s current state of affairs, this single hits close to home for most. Being locked in a room, alone with your demons you begin to lose focus on the world around you – being sucked into a dark line of ‘tunnel vision’. The single’s intensifying drum line echoes the common sounds presented while a body is carried off for the last time.
Diving deeper on the overall vibe of the new record, Miranda states, “At its core, the new record is what we’ve always been, which is emotional, real, and honest music. We all know each other very well and understand our respective styles. We’re discussing mental health, struggles with relationships, and relatable things from our lives. At the same time, it’s a little darker.” With Bassist, Austin Cressey expanding further saying, “”The mood is a little heavier, for sure… We didn’t try to emulate anyone. It’s very pure.”
With a career only spanning just over the last 5 years – Movements have been gaining necessary traction throughout the music world. Having amassing over 40 million total streams to date, Movements becomes one of the most sought after artists within the scene. Currently they are scheduled to appear on the rescheduled Sad Summer Fest 2021 – hopefully with a set full of new tracks off No Good Left To Give as well as fan favorites from their previously released EP Outgrown Things and debut album Feeling Something.
