Ruby Amanfu’s magnetic and soulful voice calls for a reminder to see the beauty on her track “How Beautiful You Are.” Ghana-born and Nashville-based, Ruby is a Grammy-nominated vocalist and songwriter.  The track, performed and written by Ruby, comes off of the second installation of her three-album release in 2019, The Collections Volume II.  With the intimate grain that her voice brings to the track, Ruby makes listeners feel like she’s in the room right there with them.

Her song’s message about positivity and love is more relevant now than ever, with the Black Lives Matter movement calling for change across the country and inspiring protests around the globe. Ruby has been vocal in her support of the movement and in her efforts to use her platform to educate and spread awareness. In the following Instagram post, Ruby shared the importance of recognizing Juneteenth, a celebration of the emancipation of those enslaved in the United States. In her caption she called on her audience to educate themselves:
