TJ3X has released his latest feel-good single, “Silver Ray,” a collaboration with Robbie Rosen. The track shines with the renewing feelings of summer — and a glimpse into how life-changing the power of love can be.

The track opens with what immediately feels like a day at the beach: the sun melting the stress around you, sand filling up the space between your toes, waves softly crashing and glee running all around. Rosen unleashes a handful of lively “whoas,” surrounded by playful drums and guitars that exude the contentment of a child getting ice cream on a hot day. Despite the infectious energy of the track, Rosen starts off reflectively. He’s faced a rough patch recently, unsure of what he’s doing with himself or where he’s headed. After spending some time sitting on it, he decided to search for his own form of happiness. When he reveals he found that long-lost hope, a wave of goosebump-inducing harmonies appear, and you feel almost as on top of the world as Rosen himself.

In the chorus, Rosen divulges his “Silver Ray” is not a thing — but a person. He gorges them with gratitude, as he finally sees and feels the light he had for so long been searching for. In the following verse, he admits he knows in his heart they’ll be together forever — because he knows no one else will ever be able to make him feel like they do after that dark time in his life. A guitar that shrieks with vigor leads the way into the bridge, where Rosen promises his newfound love that he adores every part of them, and he doesn’t want to see a life without them. Toned-down drums via TJ3X continue behind Rosen’s unfaltering elation, and the track fades out with no signs of worry in sight.

Of the track, TJ3X shares: “‘Silver Ray’ is about embracing who you are and whatever makes you happy, regardless of any outside forces that are trying to drag you down. It was a good distraction to work on something so uplifting during quarantine and with such a talented singer. Robbie’s vocals really made the track come to life.”

TJ3x is the songwriting/producing project of TJ Courtney, who takes after his inspirations Ryan Tedder and Alex da Kid in that he knows how to create what’s bound to be a massive hit. Keep TJ3X and Rosen’s names on the back burner — so you can say you knew them before they made it big.
