Sibling trio Band of Silver joins us for our next Live Session, Play Too Much @ SubCulture hosted by Brad Wagner! Catch the performance Tuesday, December 22nd at 2:30pm ET on Twitch, Twitter, Facebook Live and YouTube Live!
This Nashville trio is so much more than they appear. Rather than fall in line with Nashville’s country roots, Band of Silver blurs the lines between vintage rock, 80’s new wave and modern pop. If there’s one word to use to describe Band of Silver, it’s youthful. Each of their tracks exudes an exuberant energy that’s backed by a feeling of maturity and restraint. Lead vocalist Avery Silvernagel — who spearheaded the musical endeavor at age 19 — embodies the female vintage rock style that fuses beautifully with her brothers’ glossy pop instrumentals. This juxtaposition is what gives Band of Silver a unique edge. They’re confident, fearless, and ready to take on whatever comes their way.
Their debut EP dropped earlier this month with five stellar tracks. Always is a unique EP, recorded in Los Angeles with well-known producer Mike Green (Paramore, All Time Low). From arena-ready hits to modern pop gems, Always is a strong introduction for the trio. Themes of heartbreak and disappointment are met with messages of hope and perseverance- serving as encouragement to keep keeping on. Listeners will be pulled in by the band’s free-spirited nature and compassion. About the new EP Avery shared, “These songs are an introduction to who we really are as a band. At the end of the day, we just to want to energize people. We want to inspire them to be hopeful, to believe in themselves and each other, because that’s what music has done for us.”
Band of Silver is an effervescent group with talent to spare. Their vivacious energy and unbreakable familial bond is what gives them their infectious draw. It’s safe to say that there is sure to be an abundance of success in their future.
