Americana musician Kevin Daniel joins us for our next livestream, Play Too Much @ SubCulture hosted by Brad Wagner! Catch the performance Tuesday, November 24th at 2:30pm ET on Twitch, Twitter, Facebook Live and YouTube Live!
Kevin Daniel started his solo career in 2013 after the tragic loss of his parents. He channeled his emotional turmoil into a six-track EP entitled FLY. The country-influenced record features Kevin’s raspy, classic country vocals, backed by the banjo and 3-part harmonies. Along with the classic country influences, the record features some rock and pop undertones as well. About the album Kevin said, “I always knew I wanted to record my own music, and a life spent being in other people’s bands had prepared me to lead my own, both in the studio and on the stage. It was losing my parents that gave me the kick in the ass to finally do it.”
He continued to write and create, releasing his second EP in 2018. Myself Through You showed an incredible amount of growth. The bluegrass influences make these tracks stand out- specifically the title track. The country choir, Kevin’s Americana vocals, and the bluegrass banjo are an amazing combo that bring the record to life. The record was produced by Ben Rice, and together- with the help of some other talented musicians- they created a fantastic record.
Shortly after Myself Through You, Kevin released his first full-length album. Things I Don’t See features more incredible collaborations and country charm. The release took Kevin on tour of both the US and the UK and gave us eleven more phenomenal tracks. The record is full of radio-worthy hits like “Used To Be”, “Pour Me A Drink”, and “Time To Rise.” Kevin Daniel embodies the classic country spirit while adding his own twist.
