Livingmore are geared up for the release of their sophomore album Take Me which is out on Friday, May 21st. The album features their smash-hit single “Sharp” whose video has garnered over 40,000 views on YouTube and has been featured in publications and on radio states across the country. The video for “Sharp” is nearly one take, following lead singer Alex Moore as she rides in a car and sings to the camera through the sunroof. It’s an arresting watch, perfectly conveying the energy of the track. The second single from the album, “Got Me Feelin’ Like,” is an incredible upbeat and flirtatious track that reads like a daydream. Both have built an incredible amount of anticipation for the upcoming album.
Of the single, Alex shared: “‘Got Me Feelin’ Like’ has to do with someone being drunk off their own ego and nothing can ruin their time, even though their life isn’t where they want it to be today – it doesn’t matter! The video is very much a direct representation of what the song is lyrically about. I enjoy mixing reality with fantasy. Daydreams are sometimes grander than where we’re actually standing.”
Livingmore is known for their glossy take on rock music that combines throbbing synths, hard-hitting guitar riffs, and a constant motion supported by their crashing drums. Each anthemic track explores different emotions while still remaining centered around the message of finding one’s individuality and unique path in life. Their sound is a perfect alt-rock blend of guitars and synths that create a unique texture within other alt-rock and glam-rock groups.
Livingmore is composed of Alex Moore and Spencer Livingston on vocals and guitar, Mike Schadel on keyboards and drums, and Rodrigo Moreno on bass. The band got their start when Alex and Spencer began collaborating by writing their first cohort of tracks, inviting Rodrigo and Mike to join shortly after. The band dropped their first LP Ok To Land in 2018 following a slew of packed performances, including SXSW. Their influences include Wilco, Garbage, Modest Mouse, The Cure, The Hives, and Radiohead. Their sophomore album Take Me is out this Friday, May 21st. Stay tuned for more from Livingmore!
