Natasha Aponte rose to popularity following her viral social experiment where she used Tinder to trick over 1,000 men to meet her for a date. She used the experiment to raise awareness for how the frequent mistreatment people face using online dating platforms. Natasha used a face Tinder profile and invited over 1,000 men to Union Square Park in Manhattan for the supposed date. She ended up appearing on stage to deliver her message of acceptance and positivity on dating apps, and then allowed the men to compete to actually win a date with her. The stunt was picked up by Good Morning America, Buzzfeed, CBS News and more for its impact.
Along with the stunt, Natasha continues her message of positivity and female empowerment in her music and artistry. Her latest single, “Free,” helped her reclaim her freedom from both the toxic, masculine presence within the music industry and in an unhealthy relationship in her personal life. “Gonna live my life for me no matter, how in love I may be / Gonna do my hair right, Gunna put my dress on skin tight,” sings Natasha on the track. The single helped her find her freedom, and she hopes the single will inspire her fans to embrace their freedom as well. The singer is looking forward to series of new releases as she racks up thousands of streams on the new single.
