Prinze George is an L.A. based, retro-pop trio comprised of Kenny GrimmNaomi Almquist, and Isabelle De Leon. Following the release of their eponymous EP, the group set out on tour with Albert Hammond, Jr. while working on their debut album Illiterate Synth Pop which became a hit in the underground pop music scene in 2016. Prinze George then went on to join growing alt-rock legend Lewis Del Mar on his North American tour, connecting with fans across the country at festivals such as Austin City Limits, Eaux Claires, and Firefly. Directly after touring, the group was invited to score Til Schweiger’s indie film Head Full Of Honey which has become the most successful German film of all time. The group collaborated several times with industry giants DiploG-Eazy, Wiz Khalifa, and Carnage to release hits like “Slot Machine” and “Letting People Go” following the release of their second EP Airborne.

Prinze George modified their name after their home county of Prince George, Maryland where the band first formed. Naomi and Kenny grew up together and were childhood friends all throughout high school before getting married as adults.  They formed their group after moving to New York City where they quickly became sensational on Soundcloud. Outside of music, Kenny was a professor at the University of Maryland for a brief period and the band had several features in Paris Fashion Week during their time spent in Europe.

Happy Gardens is a much welcomed third EP from Prinze George, delivering 10 incredibly refreshing songs for the first time in over two years.  Tracks like “Take Off” and “Centuries” enrobe deeply insecure and possessive themes with bright and anthemic production, radiating like the perfect closing track to a coming-of-age film. “Tenderly” features an incredible chorus with similarly placed emotions and more quiet production.  Each song on the track is dripped in nostalgia with Prinze George’s signature production and vocals crafting a totally unique sound all their own.

The tracks from Happy Gardens are only the first of several releases from Prinze George who is rumored to be releasing a full LP by the end of the year.  Stay tuned for more releases from Prinze George!
