Rising pop sensation, Rudy Touzet, joins us for our next livestream, Play Too Much @ SubCulture hosted by Brad Wagner! Catch the performance Tuesday, March 23 at 2:30pm ET on TwitchTwitterFacebook Live and YouTube Live!

Miami-native Rudy Touzet is one of the most promising pop acts in the business.  With only four singles released so far, he has already amassed over a million views and 30,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.  His engaging lyrics and dance-pop sound have cultivated a strong and dedicated fanbase.  Rudy’s first single, “Contigo (feat. Teddi)” tapped into his Cuban/American roots and blended English and Spanish lyrics over an incredibly catchy beat that belongs on the dance floor. “Contigo” was a huge success and spawned the release of his hip-hop inspired next track “Take It As A Win.”  Rudy Touzet’s sound is a fresh take on the suave, cool sounds of some of pop’s greatest acts like Jesse McCartney, Flynn, and Rosalía.

Rudy often records his songs in record time, some taking just five minutes to write. His third single, “I Don’t Know” which he wrote with his producers Luke Shrestha and Simon Jay, was recorded in his closet with just a microphone and the producers on FaceTime. “I wrote it in 15 minutes after trying to figure out the emotions I was experiencing.  It’s about that feeling you get when you don’t know which way the relationship is going to go and you contemplate the question, are we friends or are we more than friends?”

Rudy Touzet’s latest single , “Fatal Attraction” is a sultry and sexy track inspired by spending an evening with an older woman. Rudy sings about being attracted to her desire for control as well as her confidence and mystique. The production includes a ridiculously catchy bassline supporting Rudy’s powerful vocals and pure pop sound. “Fatal Attraction” will have you longing for warm, cinematic summer nights to blast the track at full volume.

Music is in Rudy’s blood.  The artist has been writing songs since elementary school, the first of which he wrote for his Valentine in the third grade.  The excitement and catharsis he felt writing even at such a young age stuck with him throughout his life and encouraged him to pursue a career in music.  He emphasizes the importance of journaling throughout the songwriting process, often arriving late to events or to see friends after getting caught up in the writing process. He is particularly talented in challenging many emotions, both positive and negative, into cohesive, catchy, and relatable tracks that are bound to garner a reaction from fans.  Rudy Touzet is just getting started, so stay tuned for more!
