Indie rockers from Charleston, South Carolina Whitehall join us for our next livestream, Play Too Much @ SubCulture hosted by Brad Wagner! Catch the performance Tuesday, February 16 at 2:30pm ET on Twitch, Twitter, Facebook Live and YouTube Live!
Whitehall is an indie rock band composed of Paddy McKiernan on vocals and guitar, Avery Greeson on guitar, Breenan Clark on bass, and Davis Brown on drums. Their signature funk inspired indie rock sound is purely Charleston, complete with epic saxophone riffs and guitar responses on tracks like “Vacation Home” and “Flammable.” Their high energy performances were renowned which makes this live session so refreshing to finally be reunited with their energy and their sound. They recently released an upbeat track titled “New Hampshire” whose feel-good energy will keep you in high spirits throughout the day. They are slated to release their sophomore album, Swordfish Catcher, on April 2 through Common Ground Collective.
Whitehall was formed back in 2014 in a college dorm in Charleston. Each member brought a different musical perspective to the project, ranging from EDM to folk sounds that blend together to form their unique sound. They thrive in experimentalism, and each new release takes the band in a new direction. Much like the members themselves, they are constantly switching up their sound and their approach to their music which creates an exquisitely fresh perspective to the indie rock scene. Their songs channel themes of love, disillusionment, youth, and humor through high-energy melodies and production.
When not in the studio, you can find the band shotgunning La Croix or catch them making on-the-road vlogs when they tour. Their charisma and energy are infectious and make them one of the most promising groups to enter the indie scene. Stay tuned for more releases from Whitehall and be sure to keep an eye out for their sophomore album release, Swordfish Catcher, which is out on April 2!
