Multi-platinum band Shinedown just unveiled their new interactive app, the Planet Zero Observer. Released ahead of their forthcoming studio album Planet Zero — due out July 1 — fans get launched into orbit. By allowing access to location and gyroscope on your mobile device, you enter an immersive world full of exclusive content, messages from Shinedown and CYREN, share content and so much more.
Designed by Lee Martin, the Planet Zero Observer sets to push the boundaries of how we interact with our favorite artists and engage with music. In addition to this groundbreaking new app, Shinedown have also announced a free livestream hosted by Veeps. The event is scheduled to take place on release day [July 1], at Daddy Kool Records in St. Petersburg, FL. Fans who were able to snag a ticket to the sold out outdoor, in-person event will not only get the hear the record live but many will be apart of an in-store signing. The first 500 people who pre-ordered Planet Zero on Exclusive Clear LP/CD will be guaranteed an entry to the in-store signing [please note that this is separate from the performance ticket to the sold out event]. Albums will distributed in store at the signing directly following the show. A link to pre-order the record can be found linked below.
While many fans missed their chance to secure a spot at the free live in-person show, there are still plenty of virtual tickets for the free livestream — tickets can be found linked below.
All this incredible news comes at the heels of Shinedown’s new single “Daylight” — a track highlighting the importance of human connection that reminds us that we are never alone. “Daylight” echoes the need for empathy throughout our relationships and lives in order to push forward to the next day. “Daylight” follows previously released single “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo” and the record’s lead single and title track, “Planet Zero” — a single that landed Shinedown their 18th #1 hit.
