REINTRODUCING: All Time Low – New Music + 3 Very Intimate Shows

No longer a renegade, forever some kind of disaster

Since January 8th the boys of All Time Low have been posting the same ominous video teaser weekly – giving no context for weeks – that is, until yesterday’s post which was accompanied by a YouTube link that simply had a countdown. By midnight fans finally had their answer – new music! As if that news alone wasn’t enough excitement for fans, All Time Low announced 3 very intimate shows for the East Coast taking place next week.

With the premiere of their new single, “Some Kind Of Disaster” (which has over 215k views in under 24 hours), All Time Low are reintroducing themselves – no more are The Young Renegades, now we welcome back our Favorite Disaster. This track comes nearly 2 years after the release of their last two singles, “Everything Is Fine” and “Birthday” – two very pop heavy tracks that became instant summer hits. Fans were convinced that the release of two cohesive singles plus a massive co-headlining tour with Dashboard Confessional plus a band exclusive wine called, Everything Is Wine, must mean a new record was in the works – sadly, those two singles were just that, singles and nothing more.

As time ticked on, members of All Time Low ventured into new projects – frontman, Alex Gasgarth, threw himself heavily into his side project, Simple Creatures, alongside founding member Mark Hoppus of Blink182. The ‘trash-pop’ duo released their album, Everything Opposite, in October of last year and even played a handful of shows across the country and Australia. Meanwhile, guitarist, Jack Barakat, founded a new side project with singer-songwriter, Kevin Fisher, called Who Hurt You. This electronic dark-pop project was developed as a way for the pair to heal from their own separate heartbreaks and turn a negative into a positive. The duo released a handful of original singles as well as cover of Katy Perry’sOne That Got Away”.

Fans fears that All Time Low may be gearing up for a farewell were slightly subsided with the boys getting together to release a new batch of wine and re-recording their album Nothing Personal for its 10 year anniversary along with playing 3 cities to celebrate the album.

But now fans no longer have to question it, the boys of All Time Low are not going anywhere anytime soon – they simply needed a moment to step back, heal, grow and breathe.

The guys released this statement alongside their new music video …

The Young Renegades are no more…

Reintroducing your favorite disaster, All Time Low. We took a step away for a minute- did some growing, did some soul searching, some healing… Now we’re back and ready to be all yours again, our battle scars worn proudly, and our hair looking better than ever. (it’s best if you just agree).

We’ve missed you all so much and we’re so excited for what comes next. Feels like we’ve been keeping secrets from you for way too long… Been hard to keep our mouths shut, honestly.

It’s a song and dance we’ve done a thousand times before, but this one feels extra-good. Besides, it’s never the same dance twice.
Hope you dig this new song as much as we do… After all, it’s all for you.”

But when it rains, it pours – next week fans are about to get really close to their favorite pop punk band with 3 very intimate shows at Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA, Bowery Ballroom in NYC and The Ottobar in their hometown of Baltimore, MD all for the amazing price of just $5.
Unsurprisingly the shows sold out in a matter of seconds but those lucky enough to snag a ticket will be knees to elbows with their favorite pop-punk band in just a few days! In the meantime, check out “Some Kind Of Disaster” below [shamelessly have it on repeat] and remember kids, scalpers sell fake tickets.
