We’re keeping it moving with another exciting TikTok Tuesday, and today we’re highlighting an artist ahead of her time. Newcomer, Avery Lynch has been making waves on the TikTok timeline with her heavenly voice and emotionally driven lyrics. The 21-year-old Boston native is a student at Berklee College of Music, where she studies to perfect her craft.

Both a singer and a songwriter, Avery began singing and recording music as a therapeutic hobby, a form of creation she found joy and comfort in. She gained recognition after posting a cover of Dua Lipa’s Don’t Start Nowwhich led to her going insanely viral – now boasting over 100K monthly listeners on Spotify. Her incredible voice and composition have made her widely popular across the platform, with a lively comment section where she engages with fans.

Soon after, the young musician went viral with another video, this time an original song she wrote titled I Put You First (& You Did Too). The track was originally sung on the piano, as a deeply sad breakup ballad, but after the post blew up, she called her producer and fellow Berklee student, Davin Kingston. The two artists, who’ve collaborated on several of her tracks, decided to add some tempo and boost the energy level. The end product is reminiscent of a Billie-Eilish-styled, soul-stirring sound in terms of production, paired with her hard-hitting and impassioned lyrics. Most recently, she released another track, Holding My Own Hand, on July 24th. The empowering track continues to showcase her refined and modern style, with a hopeful, more pop-leaning vibe and lyrics about self-love.

Now, Avery is continuing to grow both in her skills and her following, by creating songs inspired by her fans’ comments. Some of her popular creations are about finding the right person at the wrong time, the difficulty of distance, commitment issues, and the list goes on. One of her most popular posts in this style is a snippet inspired by a comment that asked, can you write one about falling out of love with someone and not knowing how to leave them because they’re really great? The result became a fan favorite, amassing over 3 million views, with fans begging for a full version.

Avery’s talent as a songwriter and composer shines through as she writes and performs these snippets, leaving fans wishing they were each full song. The products she comes up with at her fans’ requests are nothing short of incredibly beautiful. With honesty, intimacy, and wisdom beyond her age, Avery Lynch’s work promises much to look forward to.
