Keeping it moving with another incredible TikTok Tuesday feature on Gabrielle Martin. You might know her better as @violingrl. This talented artist plays the violin and cello, as well as sings and writes music – and trust us, she has a voice as heavenly as the music she plays.

Gabrielle covers everything from classical music to mainstream pop and rock, to Celtic songs, and even putting her own brilliantly classical twist to some of the most renowned TV and movie themes. Taking requests from fans in the comments, Violingrl creates insane covers and memorable mashups. Incredibly grateful for her fans and audience, she tries to interact and respond to every comment. Thriving on the smiles around her, she aims to bring in some laughter amongst all her musical talent. Amidst the music and smiles, Gabrielle helps out those who are interested in learning this underrated instrument in posting videos giving advice to violin beginners about playing and technique, which has turned into some great inspiration for fans!

Living a transparent life as possible, Gabrielle has shared on the platform is that she has worked at Starbucks as a barista on and off throughout the years. In addition, she opened up about her personal struggles, sharing with fans that she lives with bipolar disorder and because of that had a difficult time in high school and her early 20s. After doing a metal band in college and beginning to write her own music, her struggles got worse and she decided to stop playing. In 2016 she began teaching violin in Colorado, which began her path to musical healing. She found joy and healing in instilling the love of music into others and falling back into love with playing. She uses TikTok as an emotional outlet to balance the feelings that come with playing such emotional music.

Recently Gabrielle realized that her fan following was growing so much so that she is currently more than halfway to reaching the same following as world-renown violinist, Lindsey Sterling, who Gabrielle is of course a huge fan of! She’s incredibly proud of the progress she’s made so far and the success she’s found.  She hopes one day soon that Lindsey will see her work and hopefully duet her on TikTok!
