Another TikTok Tuesday coming your way! At only 18 years old, Lillian Hepler has risen in the TikTok realm and is already making huge waves. She is known for her powerful vocals and soulful grain, which she uses to create a sound that has elements of pop and R&B.

Lillian went viral earlier this year when she made a video using lyrics fellow TikToker Victoria Bachlet posted in March. Victoria had rewritten the lyrics to Lewis Capaldi’s song, “Hold Me While You Wait.” One of the fan-favorite lyrics, “Know that you’re ok / please don’t hand over when issues get powerful,” has garnered praise from tons of users and critics alike. The next day, Lillian used Victoria’s lyrics in a video of her own, singing them to the tune of Lewis’s song in a TikTok video. In her caption, she wrote, “Hold me while you wait by Lewis Capaldi, lyric change by @victoriabachlet.” The viral video took off after being seen by Lillian’s 730,000 followers and has now gained over 4.9 million views and over two million in likes.

TikTokers began using Lillian’s sound for their own video in a trend where they would surprise their loved ones to brighten their mood and help remind them of their worth. The song also gained even more popularity when famous TikToker Charlie D’amelio posted a video dancing to the track. After much support from fans, the track will be available to stream on September 1st.

Lillian has already released five singles in 2020 so far! Following the popular “Strangers”, “Even If It Hurts” and “Nightmare” have danced across fans’ airwaves along with her latest track, “Baddie.” The infectious anthem is about confidence and being conformable in your own skin. With lyrics like, “Hit my cash up for all the time you wasted / Skin so tight I don’t need a facelift / Drift so high I got the diamond bracelet,” and “Got her high heels on, so you’ll always know,” she didn’t come to mess around.  Blended with a mix of dance and trap beats, and with elements of her signature soul and pop sound, the song is a sure hit on every level. The track was made in 24-hours in partnership with L’Oreal.

The Utah-born singer and songwriter has been doing what she loves for as long as she can remember. Growing up, Lillian was inspired by a range of artists, from opera-singer Jackie Evancho, to pop icons like AdeleMiley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift. As her TikTok fanbase continues to grow, Lillian’s music and sounds have been used over a million times in videos across social media. Lillian released her first EP Ghosts in 2017, and since then she has continued to put out original content. Her talent and passion for what she does is exactly what makes her music so incredible.
