Kicking off the month of June, UK-based producer obylx does it the right way, with a brand new single “Walk On.” A wandering persona created by Oliver Johnson, obylx is representative of his self-discovery journey.

The latest stage of this journey, “Walk On” finds himself taking a more melancholic approach on the song. obylx, releasing a song at the start of each month since 2018, has formed a powerful musical catalog over time.

Johnson reflects on his views of the song, by saying, “Feelings of despondency after a period of solitude and reflection. Optimism gives way to reality.”

Drawing inspiration and comparisons as well to other UK musicians like Slowdive and Stormzy, obylx still manages to create a musical world that is spot on to himself and the things taking shape around him.
