Indie pop project, 1990nowhere shares the music video for their infectiously catchy track, “Bukowski.” The duo prepares for the release of their upcoming EP, A Fever Called Living, out on May 28th.

The collaboration project comprised of Bryan Sammis and Chris Blair have debuted the music video for their latest single “Bukowski.” The track sports a vintage groove with a touch of modern indie elements heard in the croons of the chorus. Under the track’s Cali-sunshine-feel, it lyrically holds a sense of bitterness, “Why don’t you spend the night so I don’t hate myself tomorrow, I never read the ending of those books you let me borrow.” Irresistible hooks and melodies mask the angst with clever lyrical analogies and fuzzy, nostalgic guitar tones.

Of the track the group explains that, “The song channels hopeless and romantic observations of past and present relationships through a kaleidoscope of cynicism and desire. You feel suspended somewhere as you try to reconcile the two.” The video accurately portrays that, as it adheres to the songs nostalgic, yet modern feel.

1990nowhere is the brainchild of LA-based musicians. Bryan Sammis and Chris Blair are also known for their work as Olivver the Kid, La Bouquet, Lostboycrow, and Sammis being a part of The Neighborhood. The two became friends in 2018, quickly realizing their musical skills complemented each other, making for an authentic collaboration. 1990nowhere started off with the release of their track, “$20”. Now, the collaboration has come into fruition as a new and ongoing project.

The duo prepares to release their next EP, A Fever Called Living following their self-titled debut EP released last year. Both EP’s guest feature 1990nowhere’s close friend Olen Kittelsen of Armor. A Fever Called Living will be out on May 28th via Opera Ghost Records.
