80’s pop icon Limahl has returned to the spotlight, just in time for the holiday season. To celebrate Christmas, he is sharing his new single and video, “One Wish For Christmas.”  The track is sure to be an instant classic, being the perfect song to get you into the holiday mood. Cheerful and romantic, the sound pairs perfectly with the visuals that follow a couple dancing and falling in love as Limahl and the band play. The track is a re-work of his previous Christmas single “London For Christmas,” revisiting and re-staging it with the current pandemic in mind.

You may remember Limahl from the absolute classic “Never Ending Story” from the movie of the same name. Limahl re-entered pop culture and the spotlight throughout the past year, as he was featured in three popular US TV shows. Reflecting on his return, he laughs, “My Spotify monthly streams jumped from 300,000 to 1.5 million!”

In reality, fans have always been loyal, and Limahl never really left pop culture prominence. His international hits “Never Ending Story” and “Too Shy” [with the band Kajagoogoo] were featured on the internationally acclaimed television series Black Mirror in the episode “Bandersnatch,” American Horror Story [Season Nine: 1984], and in Stranger Things [Season Three].

Throughout his time in the 80’s as the lead singer of British band Kajagoogoo, Limahl won the hearts of millions of fans. He became instantly famous with their debut single “Too Shy” hitting the top of the charts, along with several Top 20 Hits such as “Ooh To Be Ah” and “Hang On Now” [all of which he co-wrote!]. Eventually, he went out on his own, and found his way to the top of the charts once again with his first solo single “Only For Love.” He soon followed with the Giorgio Moroder-produced worldwide hit, “Never Ending Story”.
