YouTube guitar sensation, Cole Rolland, is aiming to inspire with his debut original track and music video “Ignite.” The video shows Rolland leaping into the role of frontman with soaring vocals and hard-hitting instrumentals. On “Ignite,” Cole Rolland shares, “I want listeners to feel empowered and inspired when they hear ‘Ignite.’ It’s been a tough last couple of years for many, a large number of which are still struggling to relight their fire and kickstart their momentum once more. You create your own reality and are fully capable of achieving your wildest dreams. The drive and ambition to truly achieve this comes from within yourself.”
The music video begins Rolland in a burning hallway, before switching to him being outside playing the guitar, backed-up by other guitarists and a drummer. He begins singing “You lay down/Feel the whole world is spinnin’ round/In your head/You might break down.” Rolland does not hesitate to get right into the deep and brutally honest lyrics, captivating you into this song immediately. As you watch Rolland switch back and forth from his makeshift stage outside to sitting and walking around a gorgeous house, you begin to fall into the uplifting beat of the track. Rolland encourages you to listen to your heart, stay strong, and ignite your fire. Rolland continues into the second verse, continuing to motivate and inspire you. The band takes over the house now, while the walls are fully ablaze. However, fear is no where to be found because the fire is simply them coming into themselves and transforming into the new, confident versions of themselves. You can clearly see the vocal and guitar-playing talent that pushed Rolland from YouTube into stardom as he hits insane notes and jams through a guitar-shredding solo. As the song comes to an end, we see the same image from the beginning. The flames crackle as Rolland looks up into the camera. “Ignite” is quite an impressive debut.
