Singer-Songwriter Devin Kennedy shares his latest single, “Sundress” with us. The artist takes time to appreciate a moment with someone he loves. In addition, Kennedy shares the music video accompanying the release of the single. “Sundress” is a joyful pop track that will surely brighten up your day.

The song brings a shuffling catchy beat and memorable hooks that will echo in your head. In addition, Devin Kennedy’s lyrics are reminiscent and filled with gratitude, “Drowning in a continuum of you, and that would be alright. You’re my only expense, say the word and I’ll spiral into debt, owe you every hour I have left. And that would be so nice.” Despite the February winter chills that have graced the US lately, “Sundress” is a heartwarming track. The subtle brass licks chiming in the background and layers of harmonizing vocals add depth to the track as well. “For me, the bright and dreamy vibe of ‘Sundress’ all stems from a specific moment, with a specific person, watching the sunset on a summer day in California. It doesn’t get any better than that.” Says Kennedy. The original demo for the track was featured on a special podcast episode of And the Demo is… hosted by Ross Golan and Joe London [And The Writer Is…].

The accompanying music video for “Sundress” paints the story of Kennedy’s lyrical inspiration. “I wrote ‘Sundress’ about being in the moment with someone you love,” he reflects on the past year and the change in our social dynamic. “In a year where the days seem to blend together and time seems to pass faster than ever before, it’s important to appreciate every moment, especially the limited time we spend with our loved ones. ‘Sundress’ is about those special moments that stand out in a sea of memories. Moments so unforgettable, that they almost feel like a recurring dream.”

Devin Kennedy is a singer-songwriter and producer from Los Angeles, CA. Raised in a musical household, he started playing drums, guitar and bass all before the age of 10.
