Sweden’s La Fleur Fatale has always shot for the stars. Since their imaginative 2007 debut Night Generation, the dynamic indie rock band has delivered dreamy lyricism, bright indie-rock flair, and classic rock riffage in the style of 1960s psychedelia to audiences the world over. The band chronicled their triumph in the short documentary, Share This Love — which received a theatrical premiere in their hometown in Linköping, Sweden. Over a decade later, they’re showing no signs of slowing down.

Back with a brand new single “Skydancer,” La Fleur Fatale is taking a bold new turn in their journey as a band as they explore a heavier, more electric side to their sound, fairly untapped since the group’s debut. A fascinating spin on their typically more classically rocking style, “Skydancer” reverberates with powerful stomping drums and shimmery keyboards, undoubtedly more owed to Muse than ’60s pop-rock. Laden with a steady, infectious rhythm, it’s pretty evident that despite the adventurous twist that “Skydancer” takes on the La Fleur Fatale sound, the band certainly hasn’t lost their penchant for artful psychedelia.
