The critically acclaimed alt-pop singer-songwriter Colin Dieden took on a new endeavor as Little Hurt. Released Little Hurt dropped the official music video for his debut radio single “Better Drugs” via Another Century, a division of The Century Family Inc. The cinematic visual, directed by Kyle Vorbach, portrays two lovers who have not yet declared their love for each other.

On his new single, Little Hurt shares, “‘Better Drugs’ is really the song that made me realize it was time for me to move on from The Mowgli’s and really tell my own story. I hadn’t even been thinking of starting a solo project but after writing this song everyone around me was like ‘okay this is special, this is different, this is new… you’re onto something here.’ It was at that point it became clear that I had to jump off the cliff, no matter how scary it was, to pursue what was out there for me behind the door I hadn’t yet opened.”

The video begins with an interview with Sony. Dieden is accompanied by Amelia Kelly who both star in a movie together. Kelly shoots down dating rumors – which Dieden is obviously hurt by. The video was produced to appear as a movie trailer. The stars of the “movie” are Jen and Kevin who seemingly fall in love with each other in different situations, but as the video progresses, the audience sees Dieden falling in love with Kelly in real life. After several romantic movie scenes, the video then ends with Dieden finally confessing his feelings to Kelly in a romantic gesture, but she walks away from him without a word.

In February, “Better Drugs” officially impacted alternative radio. The track was lifted from Little Hurt’s upcoming debut EP which is set to drop later in the year. This catchy alt-pop bop follows the release of his critically acclaimed debut solo single “Good As It Gets” and is a follow up to “It’s Ok To Not Be Ok,” which is currently featured in Spotify’s The New Alt playlist.

Colin Dieden was formerly a member of the alt-rock band The Mowgli’s for nearly a decade. But after scoring a solo recording project with Century Media Dieden released his irresistible debut single “Good As It Gets” in September of 2019. The track premiered on Billboard and was hailed by Entertainment Weekly, who said, “Colin Dieden makes one hell of a second impression as frontman of his own alt-pop solo project.
