Olivia Sabates shares her latest single, “She Bad,” accompanied by a brilliant music video. The young pop-star serves some attitude in this Latin-infused pop track.
“She Bad” is reminiscent of early 2000’s pop music culture, similar to a young Christina Aguilera with a hint of modern influences. The track’s comprised of a simple two-step Latin dance beat with Olivia’s vocals taking over the spotlight. It’s lyrically direct and full of spirit with subtle hints at her bilingual abilities. In the video, Olivia sports a handful of stylish outfits and performs confidently. “I wanted this song to be a symbol of the power of letting go. There is nothing wrong with a little sass!” says Sabates on the track. Her most notable outfit is to the likes of Shakira — with her dirty blonde hair in curls and a white two-piece, Olivia dances up a storm, lifting spirits and showing off all that she’s got.
Olivia Sabates is an up and coming popstar — citing her influences as Celine Dion, Beyoncé and Ariana Grande. But Olivia uses her international roots making her to be the relatable dream girl-next-door. She has a knack for catchy up tempo hooks heard in her songs like, “Selfish,” (produced by Jo Blaq) and “Same Ole Summer Love,” (produced by Ac Burrell). Sabates can even deliver a contemporary pop ballad with grace and maturity heard in “Love Our Hello, Hate our Goodbye’s.”
The young artist hails from Kansas City, and found her roots in performance participating in school theater and church choir. She is partnered with Universal Music Group’s Bungalo Records. Olivia works with Diane Warren [Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Beyoncé], producers Jo Blaq [Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande], Ac Burrell [Tamar Braxton, Paloma Faith], Ky Almighty and Chuck “245” Freeman. At only 19 years old, Olivia is determined to earn her place in the industry with more of her music to come.
