Superlove is back and ready to work! The Bristol-based noise-pop band has just released the video for their latest single “I Love It,” comes straight off their forthcoming EP, due out later this year. The rock-rooted track is about being stuck in what at first seems like a bad situation, and while knowing it can’t last, still loving parts of it. The band sings, “It’s not enough / You know I love it / Can’t give it up  / You know I love it.” The vintage music video adds to the feel of the track, making viewers feel like they’re watching home movies from a party in the 90s.

With a musical vibe similar to that of Don Broco, the music video for “I Love It” fully embraces the retro 90’s aesthetic featuring the band playing a classic house show. With their audience too cool to join in, Superlove is left having to jam out to their own tunes. Though their fellow peers refused to get down with the funk, two sheet-ghosts made their approval for the track known – as they bounced around the stationary angst-filled adolescents.

The rock track follows their previously self-released material, which has gathered over 400,000 streams so far, and introduced them to fans as they rose in the alt-rock scene. Superlove released their debut track “Big Lies Boy” back in 2018, and went on to share the stage with Parting Gift, RoamDream StateStand Atlantic, and Vukovi, before venturing out on their own headline tour – selling out several dates along the way.

They gained even more traction with their second single, “Book A Holiday,” with it’s gravitating hook and exciting charm.  The sunny track led to the band gaining slots at The Great Escape and Handmade Festival, and soon after “Book A Holiday” burst through the charts with over 150,000 streams on Spotify.

Superlove solidified their style with their third single, “Greener Grass.” The band told Noizze, “We’re in between going to the recording studio and playing shows at the moment, getting together a bunch of new songs and listening to each other play the same parts over and over, honestly i’ve never felt closer to the sound of Alex’s snare drum.”

Superlove formed in 2018 after Jacob Rice [lead vocals and bass], Jon Worgan [guitar and vocals], and Alex Matthews [drums] all met. Once they began hanging out, they soon started writing and playing music together, and found they all worked so well together and had undeniable chemistry and similar creative styles. The band shared, “It was all just really great, honestly I don’t think any of us have ever been in another room with other musicians and thought, oh yeah this is really cool. We all love each other and the first year of this band has been like the first year of a new relationship, meeting the parents was scary, but we got past it.”

Freshly signed with Rude Records, Superlove is excited for what’s ahead.  Speaking on the band, Rude Records shared, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Superlove in our family, their ability to craft and give a unique feel to their music is what made us instantly fall in (super) love with them!”
