Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Trousdale unveils their latest musical configuration, depicting their buoyancy and skill for melding distinctive sounds into one. Composed of Quinn D’Andrea [Vocals], Georgia Greene [Vocals], Lauren Jones [Vocals], Jack DeMeo [Guitar], Madi Vogt [Drums], Trousdale emerged out of the University of Southern California’s famed popular music program in 2014. Encompassing baroque three-part vocal harmonies and inciting Crosby, Stills and Nash, Kacey Musgraves, and HAIM as musical influences, their latest single is harvested right from the band’s unblemished songbook.

“This Is It,” written by Trousdale themselves, is soaked with variegated Americana stylistics and glistening pop tendencies. Following Trousdale’s debut EP, Look Around, “This Is It” conveys a message that longs for the masses to breathe and live in the present. The joy-filled rhapsody pays homage to good vibes and celebrates the importance of friendship. The band shares, “‘This Is It’ is our friendship anthem. It was born out of how much fun we were having just talking shit, drinking beers, and laughing with each other. We couldn’t believe how some of life’s best moments are so simple. By the time we got home, Lauren had sent a voice memo of the chorus to what has now become ‘This Is It.’”

CMT recently released the visual component of the song. Directed and produced by Nina Kramer, the trio’s created sisterhood is exemplified through a kaleidoscope of pastel color schemes and a rustic setting foolproof for the song’s sonic landscape.

Earlier this year, Trousdale released their debut EP Look Around which included the self-produced viral single “Wouldn’t Come Back.” The viral single, which amassed over two million views, surpassed the trio’s winning cover of The Beach Boys’ “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” which garnered over one million streams. “Better Off” and “Happy Anymore” are also popular features on the EP.

Trousdale’s newest musical composition has been awarded high applause. Spotify and Apple Music have added the song to their exclusive playlists Fresh Finds Country, Next Gen Single-Songwriters, and Country Risers, to name a few. The Chicks meets HAIM-inspired assemblage has amassed over a couple of million streams across their repertoire and gained them a large TikTok entourage. Their fans include the Jonas Brothers, Dan and Shay, John Mayer, Jensen McRae, and Betty Who.

The indie-folk assemblage continues to steadily climb the charts and capture the hearts of fellow TikTok crowds.
