Canada’s next big thing, Madison Olds, has dropped her latest single, “3’S A Crowd.” The glamorous new track entices all the allure of a dreamy, high-class lifestyle. She sings, “Keep giving me chills, so fuck all the frills / We’re sipping until / We’re sipping on touchin’, and we’re sipping on thrills / The brush of your lips, the pull of your hips / Sipping on wisk / Sipping on craze and I’m sipping on kiss.” Filled with tension and anxiety, Madison creates her own version of the picture of a “dirty Audrey Hepburn lounging in a bathtub full of bubbles and diamonds while sucking back bottles of champagne.”
“3’S A Crowd” is Madison’s latest single, following “Best Part of Me” which came out earlier this summer. “Best Part of Me” is a shimmering anthem that inspires self-love and the will to not let the people we love hold us back. The message of the song is a reminder of our mental health first. She wrote the track when she took a solo trip to Nashville in a “moment of mental disparity.” She hopes the lyrics resonate with listeners, as so many are struggling right now as they try to cope with the current state of our society. The single was produced and mixed by award-winning producer Ryan Worsley [Dear Rouge, Nuela Charles, Mathew V] at Echoplant Studios and mastered by Chris Gehringer [Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Drake] at Sterling Sound. Both songs come off her forthcoming EP.
These are her latest projects since her 2018 debut album Blue, which was the first major break that began opening doors for her. The album now has over 2 million streams across platforms. The album earned her slots for Willie Nelson, Kacey Musgraves, Neon Dreams, Scott Hellman, and more. Written for Kamloops’ 2018 BC Winter Games, her hit single “Moments in the Mountains” was also selected as the soundtrack for the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, BC. Soon after, her next single “Thank You” propelled her up the charts of the Hot AC Radio in Canada, and placed her within the Top 10 of CBC Searchlight 2019. Her success led her to secure several international showcases with Music Matters in Singapore in Fall 2019.
