Rezz Underoath Someone Else Remix

On Friday, Underoath unveiled their most recent collaboration with world-renowned DJ, REZZ. Throughout quarantine, Underoath has been finding ways to keep themselves [and their fans] sane through the madness. The iconic group just recently wrapped up the third and final week of their Observatory live stream concert event on July 31. Observatory was an experience where fans from all over the world got to watch as Underoath performed three albums from the midst of their discography that would solidify them as something worth wild within the music scene. Over the course of three weeks, Underoath dedicated a monumental album for each performance – starting with Lost In The Sound Of Separation, followed by, Define The Great Line, before finishing out the event with where it all started in, They’re Only Chasing Safety. In a man-made octagon, surrounded by LED lights and cameras whirling around their heads, Underoath put on an unforgettable three-night event that is currently available to be viewed via rebroadcast.

Now Underoath has unleashed something new. Knowing you can never keep a creative mind stagnant for too long – REZZ sent them her April release, Someone Else featuring Grabbitz. With a history of collaborating together on REZZ’s 2019 release, Falling, Underoath was quick to jump at the opportunity. In a Facebook post, Underoath states, Making music during all this craziness is just therapeutic. Even more so when you’re able to collaborate with friends. REZZ sent us ‘Someone Else’ and said she wanted us to remix it but make it more rock….so we did. We stripped it all down, built it up again, and had a damn good time doing it.

Someone Else was originally unveiled back in April and has garnered over 1 million views on YouTube alone. The original release holds a simple bass line throughout the track under an original electric beat created by the Canadian DJ – while the remix begins with a haunting echo before breaking into a steady drum line and guitar riff. Grabbitz‘s vocals become a warning backed with an intense scream provided by the hardcore collective, Underoath. The classic Underoath drum percussion elevates this electronic hit to be enjoyed across the genres.

While we wait to see what’s next for Underoath [and REZZ], you can enjoy both versions of Someone Else and pick your preferred – or just have both on your perfect playlist.
