Wisconsin native Pollux King has just recently began her music career with the release of her first single “Score To Settle” which was a rock banger that boldly displayed her heavy sound and bombastic lyrics.  Released in January, it was the perfect song to skyrocket into the new year.  Her following single, “I Love You Always And Forever,” totally reimagines the iconic Donna Lewis 90s hit in Pollux King’s signature sound.  Produced with Chris and Vie Kooreman a.k.a. Dope Dragunz, the track is a move in a more electronic direction for Pollux King.  The track has an incredible cinematic quality that dramatizes and darkens the original.

Pollux King’s next single “anybody” will be released on April 30th.  The track is her most vulnerable yet, and highlights her experience with both mental illness and bullying.  The video for the track is an incredible undertaking and features footage from fans around the world who get to tell their stories to the world.  Of the video, Pollux King said:  “I had been struggling about this video over quarantine. I wanted everyone to be a part of it, but didn’t know how to make that happen. I had some big, epic, perfect thing in my head. But then I stopped and realized, this isn’t supposed to be perfect. I wanted people to film this in their living rooms, exactly as they are. Because that’s who we are. We’re not perfect, polished people. We’re all just doing our best. And most of us are hiding a lot of pain and suffering. I wanted to share mine. And share that even when we feel the most alone, we’re not. There are so many people who have felt the same way you do. There is so much joy inside of us. Knowing we’re all in this together and not some desperate pieces scattered around… It’s special. This video is to show the world we’re still here. The people who were bullied. Picked on. Beaten. Assaulted. We are here. And we’re not alone. You are loved. And we are with you.”

Pollux King began singing at the same time she began to talk.  Her parents quickly got her involved in community theater, and her star-like quality brought her from a small Wisconsin town of 7,000 to the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles.  Her genre-blending rock sound sets her apart from many of her contemporaries and makes her an impressive act to watch out for.  Fans of Livingmore, YUNGBLUD, and Bishop Briggs will instantly resonate with her powerful lyrics and rock-inspired aesthetic.  Her self-titled EP will be released soon.  Stay tuned for more from Pollux King!
