The Neverlutionaries is the passion project of Christopher Harold Wells, long-time musician, songwriter, and veteran of the North Carolina music scene. Christopher got his start most notably working with Peasants of the Apocalypse before moving on to have one of the most eclectic and exciting careers in music. Christopher has played in bands like The All Time Low Stars with Peter Keys of Lynyrd Skynyrd, worked with artists like Lauryn Hill and Bubba Sparxxx, and opened for Metallica, Aquarium Rescue Unit, and Def Leppard. The diversity within his career is unmatched and has led him to become one of the most versatile and boundary-defying artists on the scene to date.
Christopher started The Neverlutionaries as a rebellion against the commercial expectations that he felt restricted by throughout his career as an artist. “I’m not singing from my ego as I once did. Music is very sacred to me and I feel you have to honor it by letting it come from a real place inside of you,” Christopher said on his inspiration behind the group.
The Neverlutionaries self-titled debut album features an incredible line-up of artists who collaborated with Christopher on the project. Recorded largely in San Francisco, Christopher teamed up with Chris McGrew and Ryan Hickey of Pamela Parker’s Fantastic Machine on drum and keyboards, and Jonnie Axtell from the Psychefunkapus on guitars all produced by the #1 Billboard ranking producer Jaimeson Durr whose production for Sammy Hagar and Joe Satriani have made him a legend in the alternative rock world.
The Neverlutionaries album was released back in February to momentous acclaim from critics and fans alike. Its an album that explores themes as diverse as its sound, from finding your soulmate to living through a pandemic and surviving mental health struggles. Tracks range from out-of-this-world production to jazz-inspired alt-rock. Stay tuned for more updates and future releases from the group!
