NEWS: Rising Duo Tempoh Slow Announce New EP ‘PUNXX NOIR’

LA-based duo Tempoh Slow just announced their new EP Punxx Noir out March 25, 2022. After joining forces in August of 2020 despite the uncertainty of the year and the future of live music, the rising duo devoted all their time to the studio. Their projects became the anchor to their lives that allowed them to let loose in a no-holds-barred, guerilla-style commune of creativity. The band has been described as a bouquet of flowers wrapped in a studded belt. Similar to rising artists like nothing, nowhere., Yungblud, and Mod Sun, Tempoh Slow is an aggressively emotive, visceral, and uncompromising band that revels in being musical shapeshifters that are averse to genres.
Tempoh Slow has already released their debut EP TEMPOH Slow earlier this year on April 2, 2021. The EP consists of five tracks and features artists such as Olivver the Kid in “Eyes Shut” and Nick Special in “Cash Out!.” The duo has also appeared on the MOB single “Untitled” along with Jason Aalon Butler.
On the forthcoming EP Punxx Noir, Tempoh Slow shares: “I think this EP goes to so many places sonically and lyrically, but the whole thing is pretty much a back-and-forth internal dialogue. I went through a gnarly time with anxiety and depression, and these songs were originally sad little poems or lines I would write, but the brightness and power of the music brings it to a place where anyone can hear them and just think they are love songs. Maybe they are! Maybe they aren’t.”
Fans can receive their first taste of the new EP Punxx Noir with the lead single “Leave Me Alone,” which Tempoh Slow released Friday, November 5th, 2021.
