yungblud tourYUNGBLUD will kick off his long awaited The Weird Time of Life Tour on November 16 in London. “The thing I miss about playin shows is the individuality of every night,” says YUNGBLUD“The different faces, the different energy, but most of all the different cultures. our community may be from different parts of the world yet we have similar beliefs, it  is incredible. I wanted to do a show for as many cities as I could, playing songs off my new album for the first time. This album helped me so much and I wanted to bring it to the fans with all the energy, all the passion, all the love and all the fucking rage that went into it. Just because we can’t touch each other, doesn’t mean we can’t feel each other. I’ll see you in your city.”

YUNGBLUD has also dropped his latest music video for his emotional track, “god save me, but don’t drown me out.” Released just a few days ago, the video has already garnered over 1.5 million views on YouTube. With his signature emo and punk sound, the British singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist delivers what fans were all needing. The emotional track follows YUNGBLUD as he fights to his above all the things in life that push him to the edge, and all the people that never took the time to try to understand him. Reaching out for a lifeline, he finds his own teddy bear to save him. While he has always been open about his struggles with mental health, the video sends the message that “it’s all going to be okay,” and reminds to never let your insecurities or struggle define who you are.

“This video is for anyone laying in their bedroom at 4am wondering why they aren’t good enough,” YUNGBLUD shares. “I wanted to paint a picture of what depression really feels like, where everyone can be screaming at you, but you just can’t hear anything at all.”

“I wanted this video to ignite a resemblance or a spark of self-love to highlight the idea that if you ever feel like you can’t go on, it can get better. you are brilliant, you are an individual and there has only ever been one you and there will only ever be one of you.”

The video was YUNGBLUD’s directorial debut, alongside Gavin Gottlich. He spoke on the experience, saying, “I loved making this video, it’s my directorial debut with my partner in crime Gavin Gottlich. I’m excited and I hope it helps people. Everyone has their own inner teddy bear, all you gotta do is just let it out. It might just save your life.”

The track comes ahead of his upcoming second album, Weird! – following his 2018 self-titled debut album, last year’s The Underrated Youth EP. The 12-track project, which is due out on November 12, is described as a coming-of-age album. This comes off the heels of an acclaimed collaboration with one of  YUNGBLUD’s inspirations, Bring Me The Horizon. YUNGBLUD was eager to accept Oli Sykes offer to work together on their track “Obey” – with Sykes mentioning that YUNGBLUD nearly raced to the studio and they had the track nearly half completed in just a day. “Obey” offers a fun, lighthearted music video while delivering a powerful message of always being able to think for yourself. “Obey” is the third single to be lifted from BMTH’s upcoming Posthuman project.

At the same time, Machine Gun Kelly revealed that he’s recorded three new songs with YUNGBLUD, that come as an extension of MGK’s latest pop-punk project, Tickets To My Downfall. Last summer, the pair teamed up their joint single “I Think I’m Okay”, alongside Blink 182’s Travis Barker, and performed the track live together at Reading Festival 2019. The track earned them a 2020 Billboard Music Awards nomination for Top Rock Song.
