superlove self titledBristol’s exciting noise-pop band Superlove have excitedly announced their brand new self-titled EP, due for release on November 13 via Rude Records. The EP is a 5 part project with a perfect harmony of pop rock elements and deep hitting lyrics, sung with sentimentality yet a coolness that makes them rise above the rest. “We’ve been so excited for the release of this EP for so long now. We finished recording the songs over a year ago so it honestly feels good to finally say it’s coming out,” says vocalist Jacob Rice.

In addition the the exciting news of a new album, Superlove have released a brand new music video for their latest track, “Untouchable” – featuring the band playing and jamming out, and follows the struggle of an individual grappling with being comfortable with themselves. With soul-driven lyrics and dance-worthy instrumentation, the video and track are a must-watch – belting, “Want you to feel the same / I wanna know you feel good / Cause sometimes this life will spit you out the wrong way / But get your feet on the ground, no wasting away / One day you’ll wish you would’ve made a change / Unstoppable, untouchable.”

“Songs like ‘Untouchable’ and ‘Life is Great’ are definitely a step into a direction of music we’re wanting to explore a lot more moving forward, we can’t wait to see the reaction to that side of the band. We’ve always wanted to keep things as diverse as we can in order to keep it interesting for ourselves and our audience. We’re so proud of all of these songs and what they represent to us. We hope they can bring a lot of positivity into peoples lives and provide some form of escapism for people who need it right now.”

The new EP follows their previous material which has garnered over 400,000 streams to date & found them establishing fans within the alt rock scene. Recent releases include “I Love It, which comes straight off the EP. The rock-rooted track is about being stuck in what at first seems like a bad situation, and while knowing it can’t last, still loving parts of it. The band sings, “It’s not enough / You know I love it / Can’t give it up  / You know I love it.”

“I Love It” came after “Book A Holiday”, with it’s gravitating hook and exciting charm, which snagged the the band slots at The Great Escape and Handmade Festival, and pushed them to burst through the charts with over 150,000 streams on Spotify.

Superlove solidified their style with their third single, “Greener Grass”. The band told Noizze, “We’re in between going to the recording studio and playing shows at the moment, getting together a bunch of new songs and listening to each other play the same parts over and over, honestly i’ve never felt closer to the sound of Alex’s snare drum.”

Superlove formed in 2018 after Jacob Rice [lead vocals and bass], Jon Worgan [guitar and vocals], and Alex Matthews [drums] all met. The band says of their forming, “It was all just really great, honestly I don’t think any of us have ever been in another room with other musicians and thought, oh yeah this is really cool. We all love each other and the first year of this band has been like the first year of a new relationship, meeting the parents was scary, but we got past it.”

Now, freshly signed with Rude Records, Superlove is excited for what’s ahead. Speaking on the bright future for the group, Rude Records shared, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Superlove in our family, their ability to craft and give a unique feel to their music is what made us instantly fall in (super) love with them!”
