PLAYLIST: Killer New Music From Some Of Your Favorite Artists All In One Place

During this time of socially distancing ourselves, we know you’re bored, stressed, worried and just need an overall break – so we created a playlist of FIRE recent releases for you.

Your favorite Disasters, All Time Low, have been seemingly leading the march is keeping our spirits high. They recently dropped “Melancholic Kaleidoscope,” which kicks off this killer playlist. This upbeat rock song is the fourth track lifted from their highly anticipated eighth studio album Wake Up Sunshine, due out April 3, 2020. Over the last few years the guys of ATL gave us ‘teaser tracks’, “Birthday” and “Everything Is Fine” with a new upbeat vibes that countered the darker themes of their last album, Last Young Renegade. While those 2 tracks only remained singles, they certainly paved the way for Wake Up, Sunshine – an album that will surely bring us out of the dark and into the light.

Hayley Williams announced, last year, that she will be embarking on a solo career as Paramore continues to take a break. This pop-punk queen has been relentlessly dropping new music without giving her fans a breather. Her forthcoming album Petals For Armor is set to drop in May, but Williams has been gifting us track after track. The theme of her first solo project is floral, and her latest track “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris” is all about that. Although she delayed the release of the second EP, she gave us this track to hold us over for now. We’re not complaining, though!

Last month, New Found Glory revealed an epic headlining tour with pals Simple Plan, but due to recent worldwide events, the possibility of cancellation or postponement is still up in the air. NFG’sNothing To Say” is dedicated to those who don’t treat their friends right – and who have nothing to say. “Nothing To Say” will be featured on their forthcoming album Forever + Ever X Infinity out everywhere on June 19 – Record Store Day! While we wait for that to drop we will be playing a NFG/Simply Plan mega playlist to get us amped for their Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour [Update: this tour has since been postponed]

What’s a quarantine playlist without a song specifically written for quarantine? Snow Tha Product recorded, filmed and edited her single “Nowhere To Go (Quarantine Love)” all within 24 hours – all for us. It’s the perfect feel good track for these hard, confusing times when we really just need a break to laugh.

At the beginning of their career 14 years ago, Mayday Parade sold their music in a scorching hot parking lot in Florida during Vans Warped Tour, hoping anyone would listen. Now, the punk rockers have gained a huge, dedicated fanbase of their own. “It Is What It Is” is about being hurt by something, but eventually getting over it. The song is relevant to our current situation of isolation – the damaging feeling of loneliness, little to nothing we can do about it, but we are positive and hopeful this will soon be over and in the past. Mayday Parade are also set to embark on their fall tour (previously scheduled for the Spring) It Is What It Is Tour.

Aussie pop-punk act, 5 Seconds Of Summer, just dropped their fourth studio album CALM on Friday. The album is an initialism of the 4 members’ first names (Calum, Ashton, Luke, Michael), and fans were surprised they didn’t use this earlier in their career. The guys from 5SOS had previously released five of the twelve tracks, building the anticipation for the album over the past several months. “Wildflower” was the last track lifted from the album two days before the full release, as a teaser for fans. This track is the “Calum” track of the record (the band’s lead vocalist is Luke Hemming’s, but the band likes to surprise fans with a track entirely sung by one of the other members). “Wildflower” is 80s pop-inspired, entailing massive harmonies and powerful rhythms. Undeniably a fan favorite.

Indie-rockers lovelytheband have been grinding since March of 2017, with little rest between headlining tours – supporting act for bands like LANY and 5SOS, dropping new music, and promoting their  debut single “Broken” that topped alternative charts. The trio (lead vocals/guitarist, Mitchy Collins, lead guitarist, Jordan Greenwald and drummer, Sam Price) are using 2020 as a fresh start for their new era. Despite self-quarantining, the band has been making silly Tik Tok’s and established a weekly livestream every Monday that they plan fun segments for – so I suggest you check that out this Monday 12pm PST and 3pm EST on Instagram. “Waste” is the second track lifted from their highly anticipated second studio album, and it is a BOP.

Lauv recently dropped his debut album How I’m Feeling at the beginning of this month, and it has been on repeat since! The incredibly successful independent artist scored several features from various artists such as LANY, BTS, Anne-Marie, Alessia Cara, Troye Sivan and Sofia Reyes. AMAZING! Track 12 “Sweatpants” is my personal favorite from the record, because it is very relatable in today’s day and age for people trying to cope with everyday struggles both mentally and socially.

If you’re into pop, punk-rock, pop-punk, or hip-hop, you will 100% find a new song-of-the-week from this ultimate playlist. We hope your social distancing gets a little easier once you put these tracks on shuffle. Hang in there and Stay The F Home.
