Sit back, relax, and enjoy our selection of top tracks out now

From the return of The Jonas Brothers and Jai Paul, to another solid offering from Rosalía, it’s been a good month for music.

With streaming services making it easier to release music on just about any schedule, it can at times feel overwhelming to keep up with it all. Don’t worry though: we here at Play Too Much have got you covered. We’ve done the work for you and have compiled a list of recently released tracks that you absolutely have to hear. Consider it like New Music Friday, but without the filler.
Check out our top 5 tracks that we just can’t stop listening to below.

1) “EARFQUAKE” – Tyler, The Creator

When Tyler, The Creator announced his latest album IGOR just weeks before its release, the music world went nuts for what would ultimately become one of most highly anticipated albums of the year. Since its release, while some fans may have felt torn about the more experimental direction taken on the release, lead single “EARFQUAKE” is an undeniable highlight.

2) “Mother’s Daughter” – Miley Cyrus

Look out world: Miley Cyrus is back, and this time, she’s not playing around. With SHE IS COMING (the first of a trilogy of EPs), it seems as though Cyrus has finally found a happy middle ground between all of the identities of her nearly life-long career. “Mother’s Daughter” in particular is yet another transformative move for the singer- and the kind of track that it seems Taylor Swift may have been aiming for, and failed to create, during her Reputation era.

3) “Do You Love Her Now” – Jai Paul

Oh Jai Paul, you’ve been so good to us. In addition to releasing “Do You Love Her Now,” a euphoric track to say the least, he’s also officially released his infamously leaked 2013 studio album under the title Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones). With so much of his music to choose from, waiting since 2012 for another official release has suddenly become more than worth it.

4) “Sucker” – The Jonas Brothers

While the lead single from their recently released comeback album Happiness Begins is now 3 months old, it’s still just as joy-filled and infectious as it was on that first listen. Whether you were a fan of the trio in their heyday or you absolutely despised them, their matured sound is worth a listen as their comeback has become one of the biggest events in recent musical history.

5) “Round The Bend” – Dinosaur Pile-Up

British alt-rock outfit Dinosaur Pile-Up have been leading the charge into a full grunge revival for quite a while now, and their single “Round The Bend” from their new album Celebrity Mansions may just bring back the guitar powered rock of decades ago back into spotlight. For that matter, be sure to check out the full album- the band explores so many subgenres and ideas that Celebrity Mansions becomes essentially a celebrations of pure rock.
