A few weeks ago we introduced you to Ashnikko’s latest firecracker hit, “Daisy”. The overall theme of the track focuses on her as an individual and as an artist within a heavily male-dominated industry and genre. To top it off, Ashnikko is known for being an ‘alternative artist’ with a unique sense of style – one that she fully embraces. Her approach to the “Daisy” music video falls in line with being different – calling upon her band of loyal follows to express their true colors for a chance to be featured in the video.

Teaming up with Beats Headphones for the music video, Ashnikko and Beats launched a creative contest for her fans with #BeatsDaisyChallenge. The challenge kicked off at the beginning of July, calling on fans to show Ashnikko [and the rest of the world] their unique styles that play off the Beats Pro summer colors for a chance to be seen in the video. With heaps of submissions from the new and loyal – Ash and Beats had plenty to choose from.

The video is dominated by glistening blues, popping pinks, blinding yellows, and vibrant reds. With a green screen as her playground, Ashnikko switches from a blue creature with a hair halo that contorts on clear objects high in the sky to a spiky bumblebee on a virtual daisy, a bubblegum cyborg and devilish vixen who’s chariot of choice is giant hot pepper. Viewers are whipped and spun around this mystically multidimensional world before being spit out by the devil queen herself. Throughout the scenes you see snippets of fan-made videos featuring their creative looks – you’ll have to rewatch it a few times to make sure you get to experience all the looks from those who won the #BeatsDaisyChallenge.

“Daisy” takes you through the whirlwind’s mind of the ever-lovable Ashnikko as she continues to smash through barriers without hesitation. As she continues to release hit after groundbreaking hit, fans will eagerly await the arrival of her long-awaited, high anticipated mixtape!
