Fame On Fire has excitedly shared their latest single and video, “Scars of Love.” The track comes off their forthcoming debut album Levels, out September 4th via Hopeless Records. The acoustic-based track stuns with relatable lyrics and warmth in Fame On Fire’s delivery. The video shows the band singing the emotional song in a smoky, illuminated room, accentuating its lyrics, “I’m so caught up in my head but I don’t want this to end/ I still think about you, are you thinking of me?” While Fame On Fire is no stranger to experimenting with new styles and defying genres, the track makes it easy to reminisce on the days of heartfelt boyband ballads with a newfound authenticity and a fresh take on that type of emotional technique.
“This is a song about something I feel everyone has been through at some point in their life,” frontman, Bryan Kuznitz tells about the inspiration behind “Scars of Love”. “Being lied to by the person you loved and you believed loved you too. Maybe they did but it is that uncertainty itself. For me, I thought this person was it, my final answer in this quest for love. Unfortunately this love felt like getting hit by a train when I figured out all the lies I was told. It made me question who I was, I started to blame myself for everything falling apart. I still think about this person every so often and I always wonder if I had any sort of impact on their life like they had on mine. I’m healed from it at this point but I still remember what I went through, I still remember the pain. They are now just an emotional scar, a scar of love. So as delicate and fragile as love is, we decided to take a softer and more dynamic approach to the sound of this song. We feel that ‘Scars Of Love’ is a song about the pain we have all felt at some point – something everyone can relate to.”
Fame On Fire has received wide acclaim with their unique style, defies genre and pushes the boundaries of rock, hip hop, and heavy music. Their heartfelt, honest, and relatable lyrics create an atmosphere that is both emotionally and stylistically appealing. They are unpretentious and sincere, yet bold, audacious, and unapologetic. Their pursuit to constantly strive to grow, innovate, and try new things is exactly why their music is that good.
“Scars of Love” is the most recent track shared off of the band’s upcoming record, following previously released singles, “Her Eyes”, “Headspace ft. Poorstacy”, “Down”, and “Not Dead Yet.” Levels is a collection of energetic, emotional, and stylistically diverse music. The title shows the intricacy of the band’s artistry as it holds multiple meanings. Levels is about going through the different stages of life, and the ups and downs that come as we go through the motions. We are universally connected as we go through this life and these experiences together, and the album is an ode to perseverance and inspires continued progress and the hope to keep pushing forward.
With their latest album, Fame On Fire aimed to truly portray how important music is for the band and its fans. Guitarist, Blake Saul shares, “Our band exists because all of us grew up together and we each found our own ways to music, which is living and breathing inside of us.”
